The rules: Provide the link back to the post by the person who nominated you. Write a little about and give the first sentences of the first three chapters of your current WIP, then nominate four other writers to do the same.
My WIP is the fourth book in The Georgie Connelly series. Georgie is a British documentary film maker who is based in LA. As a result of her work she often finds herself drawn into criminal activities so the books are partly thrillers but that is offset with humour, family drama and romance. In this novel, which is as yet untitled, Georgie has to return to the UK on family business and is soon embroiled in the darker side of London, finding herself on the wrong side of Chinese gangsters. Although for this book there is a change of location, readers will be pleased to know all of their favourite characters still appear, as they travel to London to help Georgie out of her fix.
It really is a WIP at the moment and the following first sentences of the first three chapters are just rough drafts but it may give you a flavour of what is to come. If you want to catch up with the Georgie Connelly series, the stories are in the following order – Business As Usual, The Ties That Bind, The Righteous Path and False Allegiance. You can read more about them at www.amazon.co.uk/E.L-Lindley/e/B006S2GRCE/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1408887635&sr=1-1
